Biography:

The idea of starting up “Reality” was born towards the end of 2001. The guitarist and drummer were both already active in other bands (with different musical backgrounds) and decided to form a Death Metal band. As they had a common musical interest, they fitted perfectly. The difficult search for a singer and a bassist was completed mid 2002. A new Old School Death Metal band appeared, “ Reality “ is a fact! They play old school death with a dark side. All lyrics are based on true facts: the brutal reality. Deep grunts on a mid tempo death are their ingredients.

One year of rehearsals and a good cooperation lead to a first concert (Rotte Lijkskes-Fest at Gent). After a few concerts and positive reactions they decide to release a demo CD, as this is a requirement to get contacts and to be heard. On 5th April 2003 they finished their first demo with 5 songs that were recorded and mixed on 1 day. (Studio 13)

A few months later they had the opportunity to put one of their songs, Donor, on a compilation album, The Hellish Arts Of Perversion #2, that was released in July 2004 by The Flaming Arts. (Label from Belarus, management Vader in East-Europe) After 4 months another request to be on a compilation cd appeared, Extreme perversions is the chosen one to be on Metal-Ostentation #9. That is going to be released in 2006 by the Portugeese label: Enclave records. In the meantime they kept on playing gigs and fests. The biggest stage they crushed till now was on the Midsummer-festival where they played with bands like: Obituary, Tristania, God dethroned, Krisiun.

For the second demo (Human execution) they decided to make the songs a little bit more aggressive with a more powerful sound without changing their own style, realitydeathmetal. In July 2006 they recorded 8 songs at Second Test Recording in 2 days. If you like this band and their music, do not hesitate to contact them when you want to organise some gigs.
